What if I told you that I leave school at the bell each day?

Would you believe me if I said I actually enjoy writing my lesson plans?

All Star Planning is a curriculum writing course for teachers that helps to streamline lesson plan writing so you can spend time doing the things that are important to you.

You will no longer struggle to find the standards that pair with your lessons.  Your units and lessons will be sequenced such that you can save time reducing reviewing and reteaching. (I had six weeks left at the end of my school year for final exam review.)

Hey there, Teach!

You want to work your contract hours and feel confident leaving at the bell each day, but you have been writing lesson plans all day, so after school is catch up time.

I know that you are committed to teaching your students everything that they need to know, and doing it in a way that is fun and engaging.

But most teachers struggle to keep up.  Many teachers stay up late writing lesson plans, or grading papers.  We even bring work home to work on during nights and weekends.

But somehow, no matter how hard you work, no matter how many hours you put it, you
  • can't seem to get ahead.
  • go in early or stay late at work
  • miss out on life happening around you outside of work
  • dream (or maybe can't sleep thinking) about all the things on your to do list

You're not the only one.

There are so many of us that are simply over worked.

We've come up with reasons that somehow this is the way it's supposed to be.

We've let ourselves get to the point that we largely shut down our personal lives from the first day of school until the start of summer.

I've been there. And I'm here help you put a stop to it.

Benefits of the All Star Planning Course

Confidence

Feel confident in your lesson plans for your every day teaching, observations, and getting your students ready for their exams or testing. You will leave work each day feeling prepared for tomorrow.

Time

Both in your personal life and in your classroom you will find yourself with more time. With your plans working for you & not the other way around, you'll be leaving work at the bell. Plus next year, lesson planning will be a cake walk.

Engagement

When your curriculum is written and setting you up for success, your lesson plans are quick to write.  With that, you will have more creative energy to plan more of the fun activities you've always wanted.

A bit about me.

Hi, I'm Kelsey, the creator of the All Star Planning Method.  I'm obsessed with helping teachers plan effective curriculum that works.

I've done it myself!  I am a chemistry teacher who wrote three chemistry curriculums while teaching them in a retired art classroom.

Yeah, you read that right.  I had no lab, no equipment and no chemicals.

I'd spend my best days at school writing plans and trying to keep up with my job, all while missing out on LIFE.

Here’s the thing: Being an epic lesson plan author has almost nothing to do with your actual lesson plans.

The key to being on top of your lesson planning (and getting it done quickly) actually comes from the overall structure of your course.  The way you address the course holistically is going to determine the outcome and effectiveness of your individual lessons.

I'm here to tell you that life doesn't have to revolve around your job.

Two days after I was hired for my first teaching job I was engaged.  Six weeks after that I had a brand new puppy (my pride and joy).  I was working long after the sunset and I was missing out on life for far too long.

After months of grueling hours of school work, at both work and home and grew frustrated.  I took a pair of scissors to my standards and I have NEVER looked back.

I'm a different teacher than I was then.  I'm happier.  I'm healthier.  I have so much less stress in my life.  Work is rarely on my mind after hours.  In fact, when I think about my lesson plans, I'm actually excited to go to work and teach an epic lesson.

What's Included?

I've expanded the All Star Planning Introductory Masterclass into a full course for those looking to get an in depth look at the All Star Planning Method, and get their lesson plan stress under control.

With this course, you will have
  • 5 modules + an extra module on Cloud Storage tips
  • 25 video lessons
  • 3 years worth of calendar templates
  • Unit Plan Template, Lesson Plan Template, Syllabus Template and more!
  • Bellringer (Do Now and Exit Ticket) "print and go"
  • a 10 hour professional development certificate

Module 1: Your Standards

In these lessons I teach you how to love your standards and treat them like a to do list.  We get your standards organized so that they are easy to read and you won't spend hours trying to get your standards into your lesson Plans.

Module 2: Sequencing

Learn how I sequence my units and my lessons.  Proper sequencing cuts back on time needed for reviewing and reteaching. I have SIX WEEKS of final exam review at the end of my school year. My first year, I had just 5 days.

Module 3: Unit Plans

Writing Unit Plans may take you a TINY bit of time, but they make EVERYTHING so much easier, especially writing your lesson plans.  Once these unit plans are done, you'll be working with a much smaller pool of standards, skills, lessons and assignments.

Module 4: Lesson Plans

Once those unit plans are written, the lesson plans should be super quick, which means you can spend more time working on creating and curating engaging and exciting resources for your lessons.  Your students will get so much value out of the creative energy you have left from using my lesson plan tricks.

Module 5: Classroom Implementation

Getting your classroom to run on your new found organizational system will change your life.  I've had students (not mine) visit my classroom and comment on how organized my room is, and how they envy the notebooks of their peers that I teach.

I'll also show you the great activities I use in my classroom, since I have more time to plan the "fun" stuff since I'm spending less time on lesson plans, and my sequencing gives us time for the "cool" activities.

FAQs

How much time will it take to complete the course?

This is a self-paced course, meaning that you complete everything on your own time.  There is about 5 hours of video content in the course.  Full implementation of the information will depend on your individual starting point.

Kelsey, you are a chemistry teacher. Can I take this course even if I'm not a chemistry teacher?

Yes! This is a general curriculum writing course. Many of the examples given in the course are based in my background of chemistry, but anybody can follow the examples.  If I can use this method to write a chemistry curriculum with a State written final exam, you could use this for any course or grade, all the way down to Kindergarten!

Is this course only for new teachers?

I wish I had this knowledge when I was a first year teacher. And I'm VERY happy I had it my second year, when I was given a new course to teach.  While I think all first year teachers could benefit from this course, any teacher, especially those changing grades, courses or standards would find the course valuable.

How many professional development hours will I receive from this course?

Each state, county and school district has their own rules for how they accept professional development.  The course is 5 hours of video content, but with time needed to act on the knowledge, I provide a 10 hour PD certificate.  If you are unsure if this certificate would be accepted in your district, please follow the proper channels for approval before purchase.

How long will I have access to the course materials?

You have access to the course for the lifetime of this site and the course, which is guaranteed to be a minimum of one calendar year from the date of purchase.
